Can we talk about how bold this piece is for a second? When I decided I wanted to do something to this guy, I wanted it to LOOK like how I felt about it.
I found this guy by a dumpster at a park. NO. I AM NOT TOO CLASSY TO GO DUMPSTER DIVING. *hairflip*. Ive had him in my garage for 2 whole years waiting for some paint and love and attention, and I neglected him.
UNTIL I FOUND THIS.
Madame Butterfly’s infamous chalky paint here in Arizona. Stuff sticks on everything. No priming, no prep, no sanding, just paint. And ahhh..the color is heavenly in “Northern Skies”. It’s to die for. Okay, lets not get dramatic, but if you want some of this action, buy it here.
Safety First, people!
After a jar of woodfiller, sanding (for the woodfiller), and piece fitting for all the missing pieces this guy had, I applied a few coats of this gorgeous Tiffany Blue on Steroids, decoupaged some gift wrap for background and drawer sides, spray painted the pull, and lightly roughed up my edges for character.
I went from This:
And I couldn’t be happier.
Thanks for reading my first post.
